It’s true that the summer melt in 2007 was greater than usual but the re-freeze in the winters of 2008 and 2009 was greater than usual (i.e. there is more ice than ever). The Earth belongs to our children, don’t shackle them with unjustified taxes, travel and trade restrictions because of our own self-inflated sense of importance, guilt and need for self-loathing. Just as King Canute proved, no human can control mother nature, and while human activities can certainly impact on local micro climates, they cannot currently change the global climate.
